Lions wallop White River Valley
Loogootee pounded WRV in a baseball game called after five innings, 12-2, due to the ten-run rule.  As has become typical against the White River Valley outfit, the Lion offense roared early as the hosts plated five runs in the bottom half of the first.
Bryant Ackerman, Derek Parsons, Roland Slaubaugh, Tyler Bratton, and Bryce Wilz touched them all with Parsons, Slaubaugh, Mitch Harder, Wilz, and Josh Divine driving in runs as the team batted around.  With two more in the second, three in the third, and the final two in the fifth, the rout was on.  Slaubaugh led the offense with a 3-3 day and three ribbies.  Divine was also 3-3, with two doubles, two runs scored, and the first inning RBI.  In 25 official at-bats, Loogootee hitters swatted 12 safeties.  Wade LaMar picked up his second victory against one loss as he struck out a half-dozen Wolverine swingers.  A two-out base knock in both the first and third frame cost LaMar the shutout as Loogootee improved to 5-3 overall.
