Lady Lions win against Lady Hatchets 5-0
   On Tuesday, April 16 the Loogootee Lady Lions traveled to Washington where they defeated the Hatchets 5 – 0 in tennis action.  
  Emily Callahan (L) defeated Angie Rogers 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and at No. 2 singles Andrea Vaupel (L) defeated Brittney Lechner 6-2, 6-1.  At No. 3 singles Brittney Bateman (L) defeated Ashley Flynn 6-2, 6-1.
   In No. 1 doubles action, the team of Valerie Wickman/Sarah Allen (L) won their match against Taylor McPherson/Hannah Lengacher 6-2, 6-2, and at No. 2 doubles Lindsay Wininger/Ashton Matthews (L) defeated Madi Lee-Justine Johnston 6-2, 6-1.
   The Lady Lions season record is now 6-1.  
   Loogootee Coach Mike Tippery said, “After the tough defeat Tuesday, it was nice to get back on the winning track. Overall, we played a solid match today.”
   In junior varsity action, Loogootee won six of the eight matches.  In No. 1 singles action, Hannah Lamar (L) defeated Hanna Mattingly 6-1, 6-0; at No. 2 singles Brittney Eckerle (L) defeated Josolyn Ivy 6-1; at No. 3 singles Becca Zins (L) defeated Caroline Templin 6-0; and at No. 4 singles Kylie Sims (L) defeated Ashley Allison 6-3.
  The Hatchets were victorious at both No. 1 doubles with Morgan Whitehead/Brooke Gress (W) defeating Jill Taylor/Erin Wittmer 6-4 and at No. 2 doubles with Christine Schilling/Kyla Miles (W) defeating Emilee Lannan/Devan Arvin 6-4.  The No. 3 doubles team of Emily Sutton/Allison Kiser (L) defeated Hannah Rodimel/Tiffany Ervin 6-1, and the No. 4 doubles team of Emilee Lannan/Devan Arvin (L) defeated Trish Wheeler/Ally Perkins 6-1.
